hi. when did you started drawing?

Hello! I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, honestly. I carried a sketchbook around with me for years when I was young.

It’s finally time for Tony and me to open up a call for submissions for a fanzine based on the world, characters, and culture of Jet Set Radio!

I know the series has influenced Tony and myself and I know plenty of others who’ve fallen in love with these games. So we just wanna set up a sorta love letter to the sweetness that is Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future.

Fanart can be submitted ranging from traditional to digital, comics, illustration, graphic design, and more.

So, here’s the down and dirty details:

  • Color images are encouraged, but black and white is super acceptable
  • Single page size: 5.5” x 8.5”
  • Double page spread size: 11” x 8.5”
  • Resolution: 300 DPI
  • File type preferences: .TIFF’s are preferable, but .JPEG’s are acceptable

Include your name/nom de plume, a title for the submission, and a link to an art blog or website with the final sized image attached to an email sent to:

Try to send any and all questions to that email address so we can keep it all organized and be able to get back to you efficiently.

So, with all that information, we hope to see your submissions roll in within the coming months!

Feel free to post any process and sneak peeks if you’d like! Just tag them with #JSRFanzine so we can see what everyone’s up to!

Get at it Rudies!

What type of app do you use to do your paintings and sketches? They look as if they are done on a computer. If so, do you have to buy it?

I work in a Japanese program called Sai, and I swear by it.
